Students attending McIntosh Memorial Primary School in Royal Flat will soon have access to a computer lab thanks to the efforts of its Parent Teachers Association headed by Mr. Noel Miller, past students, the business community and Principal Mrs. Sharon Anderson.
A proud Principal, Mrs. Anderson advised that the project that is far advanced will cost approximately 1.6 million dollars. Construction of the lab she said is a joint effort of the many components of the community, which includes the school board and demonstrates the school's motto, "together we can achieve".
Ground was broken for its construction on Wednesday April 4th at which time it was revealed that McIntosh Primary placed first among a field of twenty primary schools in the south east Manchester region for the 2006 G-SAT Examinations.Mrs. Anderson said the computer lab would greatly aid the institution in its drive to become the number one school in the region in terms of excellent educational output.
